Is Anders Behring Breivik a Christian terrorist? Let’s not mince words -

“If people kill in the name of religion should they be identified by their religion?… Isn’t identifying people by their religion if they commit a violent crime bigotry?”

A wonderful piece by Sally Quinn on the misconceptions of Islam in the West and how Christians and Conservatives need to realize that anti-Islamic language and hate is bigotry and most often false. This is something that should be seriously considered following the tragedy in Oslo. #fb

Online News/NYTimes Redesign -

This is an awesome redesign of NYT and he totally gets it right about how online news fails and how it needs to improve. Totally inspiring as I’m looking for work writing and producing online news. I want to work somewhere that embraces some of these same beliefs and is open to designing accordingly. #fb

I’m not a fan of applesauce and sorbet often has too many calories/sugar and can be expensive. So I”invented” a cheap alternative. I bought Mott’s pomegranate applesauce, stuck a few in the freezer and after a few hours, voila!
I hoped it would be more like shaved ice, but it was too frozen solid. So I just popped it in the microwave for barely 15 seconds and you have pomegranate sorbet! Can’t wait to try the cran-rasberry flavor. It’d probably make a good popsicle too; just put a stick in it before freezing.
